Please note: due to availability, DFW Piano Lessons is only accepting students ages 3-18 years old. Lesson Books: All students are unique and have specific styles of learning.DFW Piano Lessons target all learning styles and use tried and true curriculum that is specially picked out for students according to age, level, and learning styles. Theory: This is the backbone of music and the key to learning artistry, composition and improvisation, but too often theory isn't sufficiently taught. DFW Piano Lessons make sure musical concepts are reinforced through fun-filled writing, listening and playing exercises. With games and puzzles added to compositional and creative activities, students retain concepts more easily and learn more thoroughly. Technique: Technical tools and artistic skills are reinforced with the use of etudes. This helps concepts come together and solidify. Performance & Artistry: Piano isn't just about playing notes, it's about making music. Music is indeed a universal language, and one that should be played from the heart. Special focus is spent in each lesson to teach students how to create a song...not just play notes on a page. Composition & Improvisation: As students progress with their theory and technique knowledge, composition and improvisation concepts are included in lessons. The goal is for students to be able to independently create their own music, whether or a beginner or advanced level. Sight Reading: Learning to read music is like learning to read a language, and the old saying practice makes perfect is true! However, each lesson implements tricks, tips and skills for student to become advanced in sight reading. Because each and every lesson is taught from a lesson plan and is objective driven, DFW Piano Lessons provides a monthly report of progress and concepts covered. Parents are encouraged to contact instructors whenever they have any questions or comments. By having lessons designed in this unique and high quality structure, students will see measurable improvement in their musical skills! |
